When a developer asked us to create master plans and design standards for a 2,800-acre planned community, we saw it as a rare chance to infuse an emerging suburb with thoughtful design. We toured small towns across North America to see how the best ones worked, then created a pedestrian and family-friendly community encompassing houses, apartments, schools, and, of course, Jack’s Market. The result is a thoroughly livable place that looks ahead to the future and back to its past all at once.
